The Sabbath Day is the day that Elohim ordained, or set apart, for a special kind of rest for His people.
It is mentioned in the Bible over 107 times in the Old Testament (Hebrew- Shabbâth), and in the New Testament (Greek- Sábbaton) is mentioned over 50 times.
From the Book of Genesis, all the way to the Book of Revelation, there is great emphasis placed on the Sabbath Day. This tells me that this Day was very important to Elohim, and in fact, still is!
So, if this Day is so important to Elohim, then it must be important to me as well if I truly want to worship Him in spirit and in truth.
This is the reason why I set out to seek the truth about His Sabbath Day for myself. If you are a truth-seeker like me, I invite you to come along and discover Elohim’s True Sabbath Day.

In the Beginning…
If you do some research, you will find that the week of 7 days is unique. This is because there is nothing in nature that denotes a 7-day week.
When Elohim created the sun, moon, and stars, and purposed them to denote time (Genesis 1:14-19), none of the cycles of the luminaries align with a 7-day week. You can confirm this basic astronomical information, as follows:
- The Day is defined as approximately 12 hours of sunlight. This is followed by Night, which is approximately 12 hours of darkness with, or without moonlight. In our technological world, we know that every day is not exactly 24 hours long, and this should probably make the week longer than 7 days.
- The Month is defined by the moon and is 29, or 30 days long. A moon cycle is actually 29.5 days, and if you do the math, you will find that this is not completely divisible by 7.
- The Year is defined by the sun and stars, and is approximately 365.25 days long. This again is not perfectly divisible by 7.
The above shows that the 7-day week is not clearly defined by any one luminary alone. Whilst the closest one is the Moon, we see that 29 and 30 are not perfectly divisible by 7!

A lot of sources believe that the 7-day week came about because of Babylonian influence since they were able to recognize 7 celestial bodies in the sky in those days: the Sun (Ancient Babylonian- “Shamash”) and Moon (Ancient Babylonian- “Sin”), along with the planets Mars (“Nergal”), Mercury (“Nabû”), Jupiter (“Marduk”), Venus (“Ishtar”) and Saturn (“Ninurta”).
However, other sources that point to the Sumerian civilization in ancient Mesopotamia, which dates before the rise of the Babylonian civilization, show that 7 days were repeatedly marked as a period of time. For example, a pattern of 6 nights and 7 days is repeatedly seen in The Epic of Gilgamesh.
Also, in the Epic of Gilgamesh, there is a story about a great flood that covered the entire world. This is uncannily similar to the story of Noah’s Flood in the Bible!
Therefore, I submit that if you cross-reference these ancient writings with the ancient manuscripts that became the Bible, we can clearly conclude that there is no greater basis for a 7-day week, than that Elohim established it at the Creation!
In Genesis chapters 1 and 2, we read about YaHuWaH Elohim’s creative works for 6 days, and then we learn of the decision to set apart the following 7th day as a Day of Rest and Spiritual recuperation.
After sin entered the heart of man, and people multiplied upon the Earth, we learn that man began to deviate from Elohim. The Bible makes references to Nimrod (also called Baal) and Ashtoreth, who were instrumental in the spreading of idolatry (Genesis 10:8-10; Judges 10:6; 1 Samuel 7:4 and 12:10).
Regardless of man’s deviation, however, there were many things that Elohim had taught Adam that he would have passed on to his children and grandchildren, that would have continued on into each separate culture that subsequently formed.
For example, studies have shown that the names of many stars in different cultures have the same meaning. Regardless of their spelling, or pronunciation being different based on language, the meaning of each one remains the same (Psalm 147:4, Psalm 19:1-6).
This holds true for cultures that could not have possibly had any contact with each other, due to the vast expanse of area, time, and language which separated them (Genesis 11:1-9)!
Barry Setterfield in his article: “Is there a Gospel in the Stars?”, as well as Simon Cropper et al., in their article: “Why do Different Cultures See such Similar Meanings in the Constellations?”, as well as other scholars, have written great articles speaking to these facts.
Now, one of those things that I believe must have been passed from one culture to another, and from one generation to another, was the 7-day week.
Although some cultures did create and calculate their own week comprising of different numbers of days, the majority hold to a 7-day weekly cycle, as it was from Creation. Therefore, we can conclude that the 7-day week was instituted by none other than Elohim, at Creation. I believe that once we get a full understanding of the importance of the 7-day week, then the True Sabbath Day can be easily found, and restored.
How Did the True Sabbath Day Become Lost in the First Place?
In the Old Testament scriptures of the Bible, we can see that men had a clear grasp of how days, weeks, months, and years were calculated, according to Elohim’s reckoning.
Their calculations were clearly based on Elohim’s Calendar, which was obviously based on the movements of the celestial bodies (His Timepiece!), which He had placed in the Heavens for exactly such a purpose (Genesis 1:14-19).
Up to the time of the Babylonian Exile, we note that the Israelites were still keeping track of the Sacred Calendar. We can tell that this was so because we read in the book of Daniel chapter 9, that Daniel had been calculating the time until when the Exile would be over.
Daniel could do this accurately, only if he had had knowledge of the Sacred Calendar, and so was able to do the calculations according to the prophecies that the prophet Jeremiah had made, more than 70 years prior (2 Chronicles 36:20-23 and Jeremiah 25:1-14).
This was because the calendar system used by the Babylonians was indeed similar to that used by the Jews at that time, being a lunisolar calendar. Whilst there were similarities, there were also subtle differences that did affect the Hebrew calendar later on.

After the Babylonian exile therefore, it seems that the Israelites lost track of the True Sacred Calendar in its original form, as well as many other important principles that Elohim had instituted!
History tells us that they adapted many things Babylonian from then on. For example, the naming of the months of the year (which again, Elohim had only given number designations!), and the practice of the sighting of the first crescent moon, which the Babylonians used to begin their months.
The Bible outlines that Israel losing track of Elohim’s True Sabbath day was a direct result of their disobedience to Him. Therefore, He indeed took His Name from them and hid from them the true knowledge of Himself (Lamentations 2:6).
This is why it is no coincidence that the 4th Commandment is the only one that was written in the context of both a reminder, as well as an admonition!
However, Elohim did promise that in the last days, He would restore His Truths to His true worshippers, which includes His Sacred Calendar, which outlines His True Sabbath Days and His appointed Feast Days (John 4:21-24).
This article is indeed a part of Elohim’s Promise for our generation, living in the last days!
How Giving Names to the Days of the Week Contributed to the Loss of the True Sabbath Day
As stated earlier, Elohim did not give the days of the week any names. He only gave them number designations, and the same goes for the months of the year (Genesis 1-2).
Now, history shows us that as man began to deviate from Elohim and started creating and worshipping idols, they gave those idols names. They took the honor and esteem that belonged to Elohim and gave it to those idols, and one of the ways in which they honored their idols was to name different things after them.
As such, in cultures such as the Sumerian, Babylonian, Egyptian, Norse, Greek, Roman, etc., they named the days of the week after the sun and the moon which they worshipped, as well as different gods and men whom they chose to honor. They also did the same for the months of the year, the planets, etc.
This is how the weekdays got their names as we know them today.
Although as it is now, it seems that the names are instrumental for ease of identifying each day, it is also a reason why the True Sabbath Day became lost.
Furthermore, not only did it become lost, but the true hallowedness and significance that Elohim had originally placed on this day, as to be a solemn meeting day between Him and His people, was also lost.
Unfortunately, when we worship on “Saturday” or “Sunday”, believing that this is Elohim’s True Sabbath Day, many of us are unknowingly giving our spiritual energies to days that are honoring the sun, which is a created thing, and the Roman idol Saturn, which is the same as Satan!
The glory and honor that was to be ascribed to the Creator on this day, was usurped and given over to idolatry, which is a direct violation of the 1st and 2nd Commandments (Exodus 20:1-6). Therefore, it is my belief that in getting back to the basic structure of the Week as Elohim had outlined it at Creation, i.e. without any name designations for the weekdays, then we can get a step closer to restoring true worship to the Most High alone!
Does Historical Sabbath Day Sieges on Jerusalem Confirm that Saturday is the True Sabbath Day?
According to the Bible, as well as historical accounts, there were many sieges on Jerusalem by the Babylonians and Romans, over hundreds of years ago.
The Jewish historian Flavius Josephus records an attack on the Jews on their Sabbath Day. This was during the time of Ptolemy I, King of Egypt, who was one of the four successors of Alexander the Great.
The account says that as a result of learning that the Jews were least resistant on their Sabbath Day, Ptolemy I was able to successfully conquer Jerusalem in 320 B.C., by the use of “deceit and treachery”. (See “Antiquities of the Jews: Book XII” by Flavius Josephus and Jewish Encyclopaedia.com: “Ptolemy I (surnamed Soter and Lagi)” by Richard Gottheil, et al..)

Now, there are researchers who have sought to prove that these Sabbath Day sieges were the same as the Roman Saturday, based on the use of the Julian calendar dating system. Alger F. Johns makes a good case for this in his article on Ministry Magazine’s website, titled: “The Military Strategy of Sabbath Attacks on the Jews”.
In his article, Mr. Johns uses the B.C. dates of 2 Old Testament Babylonian sieges on Jerusalem. These were during the reign of King Jehoiachin and King Zedekiah. He uses calculations to find the Julian dates and then, based on historical dating based on the Julian calendar system, he reports that the sieges would have occurred on a Saturday!
Whilst, admittedly, the early Roman calendar was a lunar calendar, which had its ancestry founded in the lunisolar Babylonian calendar system, I am not entirely convinced that the dating based on the Julian calendar system was exactly the same as that of the Hebrew lunisolar calendar of those days.
This is because there were many changes to the original Babylonian calendar, which was actually much more similar to the Sacred Calendar which was then being used by the Hebrews. When the calendar got to the Greeks, more changes were made, and of course, the Romans added their own changes as well.
We will discuss calendar changes in another section, which will add even more clarity to the subject matter.
But in looking at the text, the Bible never indicates that any of the battles mentioned in Mr. Johns’ study took place on a Sabbath Day, nor does it indicate anywhere that the Jews were not allowed to fight to protect themselves on a Sabbath Day, as indicated in Josephus’ account!
In the book of Joshua, when Elohim commanded the Israelites to march around the walls of Jericho for 7 days and to attack the 7th time around, on the 7th day, it is most likely that one of those days was indeed a Sabbath Day (Joshua 6:1-20)!
What’s more, the events for the 7 days would certainly have been with the intent of offense, and not defense (as in the case of the sieges), and yet Elohim had sanctioned it.
This tells me that it was never Elohim’s intent, or command, for His people to not fight to defend life and property on the Sabbath Day!
Additionally, the siege mentioned by Josephus would have taken place centuries after those mentioned in the Bible. Therefore, Jews not being permitted to fight on the Sabbath Day may have been a later tradition that was adapted based on their Pharisaic rules, which Messiah dispelled on numerous occasions!
Messiah is caught in Matthew 12:1-12 “profaning” the Sabbath according to the traditions of the Pharisees. However, Messiah gave his accusers two well-known examples of how the Sabbath day was indeed “profaned” on the Sabbath Day in the Old Testament days, and yet those persons were deemed guiltless by Elohim.
He further declares that Elohim is about doing good on the Sabbath day!
Therefore, it is my belief that historical Sabbath Day sieges on Jerusalem cannot be used to conclusively determine that the Roman Saturday based on the Julian dating systems, is the True Sabbath Day.
Why Saturday is NOT the True Sabbath Day on the Gregorian Calendar
The current modern-day Gregorian calendar which is used by most of the world, is a product of many Roman calendar reforms.
The original Roman calendar was a lunar calendar, based on lunar months. It is believed to have been instituted around 738 B.C., by Romulus, who was the founder of Rome. The calendar had 10 months (March to December) and a total of 304 days.
Later on, 2 more months (January and February) were added by Pompilius, making it a 355-day calendar year. Pompilius was also responsible for reforming the calendar to match the lunisolar system, by adding an intercalary month every other year, to allow the lunar months to match the solar year.
This reformed calendar system was most likely a product of the Greek calendar system which preceded it, and which would have also been a product of the Babylonian calendar system. (see Webexhibits.org: “Early Roman Calendar”).
As mentioned before, the Babylonian calendar was indeed a lunisolar calendar, similar to the ancient Hebrew calendar. The calendar had 12 or 13 months, with each month being 29 or 30 days long, with a 13th month added to match the solar year, in order to keep the seasons balanced.
In fact, the Bible tells us that Abraham was actually of Babylonian descent (Genesis 15:7). Therefore, Abraham would have been using such a calendar system!
“Ur of the Chaldees” was indeed Babylon, which was historically the land of Shinar where the tower of Babel was located. This was where idolatry and rebellion against Elohim became rampant, due to Nimrod and Ashtoreth, as previously mentioned.
It is my belief that after having Abraham come out of Babylon, Elohim gave Abraham the True Sacred Calendar, which would have been passed down to Ishmael and Isaac, and then on to Jacob and Esau and on to their respective descendants (Genesis 15:5, Deuteronomy 11:19).
Now, the Sacred Calendar would have been lost in part during the Egyptian enslavement, but I believe it was restored during the Exodus, being among the instructions given to Moses to impart to the Israelites (Exodus 16:1-30).
However, during the Babylonian exile, the pagan traditions that would have become a part of the Babylon calendar system again corrupted the Hebrew calendar.
From the Babylonian civilization, then down to the Greeks, and up until the time of Roman emperor Pompilius, the calendar system was lunar/lunisolar. This essentially meant that the one constant element was that the moon was an essential part of determining the months of the year.
This was indeed similar to the Hebrew lunisolar calendar system, which made these calendars more in line with the Sacred Astro-Luni-Solar Calendar.
However, from the 5th century B.C. to the 1st century B.C., many reforms saw the Roman calendar becoming a purely solar calendar system.
The Julian calendar was instituted by Julius Caesar in 46 B.C. Under Julius Caesar, the month lengths were modified, and the necessity of an intercalary month was deemed extinct, as he instituted the addition of an extra day at the end of February every 4 years (Leap Years).
Therefore, the calendar now had 12 months constant, with a total of 365.25 days. This meant that the calendar had been officially divorced from the moon and was now a purely solar calendar and was based on the calculations of man. (See Webexhibits.org)
After a while, however, it was recognized that the calendar was out of step with the seasons by 10 days. As such, under Pope Gregory XIII, who employed the help of Jesuit astronomer and mathematician Christopher Clavius, along with Italian scientist Luigi Lilio, 10 days were deducted from the Julian calendar in October of 1582 A.D.
This meant that day 5 of the month of October became day 15th. Regardless of this major adjustment, the days of the week remained unchanged, and the month continued up to the 31st of October.

This was the beginning of the solar Gregorian calendar system as we know it today. (See Encyclopaedia Britannica).
Through this abbreviated history of the current Roman Gregorian calendar system, it should now be much clearer that Saturday is NOT the True Sabbath Day of the Bible.
The Sacred Calendar of Elohim is an Astro-Luni-Solar calendar, and as such, it is not equivalent to a calendar that is divorced from the moon and based solely on the sun!
In Old Farmer’s Almanac calendars which have a little depiction of the moon phases at different times of the month, you will note that the New Moon does not occur on the first day of each month. Instead, the moon phases literally FLOAT through the months of the year!
This is not how Elohim had intended His calendar to be represented. As such, I believe that attempts to calculate Biblical dates based on the solar Julian and Gregorian calendar systems will contain errors.
Therefore, Saturday on the Gregorian calendar is NOT the True Sabbath Day.
What About the Roman Catholic Church’s Claim to Have Changed the Sabbath from Saturday to Sunday?
In the Catholic Encyclopaedia, Volume 4, page 153, published in 1913, the claim was made that the Catholic church had changed the Sabbath to Sunday:
“The Church, on the other hand, after changing the day of rest from the Jewish Sabbath, or seventhday of the week, to the first, made the Third Commandment refer to Sunday as the day to be kept holy a.s the Lord’s Day.”
(Source: en.m.wikisource.org).
Of course, this was a very bold claim! But was this claim the entire truth, or was it meant to be a detour from the truth, to lead truth-seekers down a different “rabbit hole”?
The Bible gives us many characteristics of how Satan operates, and Daniel 7:25 tells us to expect these things to happen in the last days:
“And he shall speak great words against the Most High, and shall wear out the saints of the Most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time.”
Also, in Revelation 12:9 we read:
“And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.”
From these 2 verses, along with all that has been presented regarding the changes in the calendar systems to date, one should be able to clearly see through this claim by the Catholic Church.
It was nothing but a deceitful ploy to “wear out the saints of the Most High”!
In Genesis 1:14-19 and Psalm 19:1-6, we read that Elohim placed His calendar in the heavens, where no created being, whether man or Satan, can make any changes to it!
Therefore, it is my belief that many well-meaning saints through the ages, who have sought to worship Elohim in spirit and in truth, and who have sought to find the True Sabbath Day of YaHuWaH Elohim, have unfortunately been caught in Satan’s web of lies.
This is not to say that anyone who was genuinely worshipping Elohim whilst not being aware of this deception is condemned. Not at all, because this is why Elohim worded the 4th Commandment in the manner that He did, knowing that we would be deceived in this manner.
Romans 5:1 tells us:
“Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with YHWH through our Saviour Yeshua the Messiah:”
And Romans 8:1 assures us that:
“There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Messiah Yeshua, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.”
However, in these last of the Last Days, Elohim is indeed restoring His truths. As such, everyone who feels the prompting of Holy Spirit to search out, practice, and stand for His truths, and who decides not to, will be held responsible for not doing so!
This is not something to be scared of, because in fact, there is true freedom in finding the truth, as Messiah assures his true disciples, as well as us, in John 8:31-32:
“Then said Yeshua to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”
So, How Can We Know the True Sabbath Day According to the Bible?
The True Sabbath Day is outlined in many scriptures in the Bible. It is really quite simple and easy to find, but we mature people seem to always try to make things more difficult than they really are!
This is why Messiah himself declared in Matthew 11:25:
“At that time Yeshua answered and said, I thank thee, O Father, Sustainer of heaven and earth, because thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes.”
Also, in Proverbs 25:2 we learn:
“It is the glory of Elohim to conceal a thing: but the honour of kings is to search out a matter.”
And in Isaiah 28:9-10, it tells us how Elohim teaches those who truly want to learn His truths:
“Whom shall he teach knowledge? and whom shall he make to understand doctrine? them that are weaned from the milk, and drawn from the breasts. For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little:”
So, with these scriptures in mind, let us become honorable kings and Bereans (Acts 17:10-12), by diligently searching the scriptures to learn the truths that Elohim has hidden for His true worshippers to find!

Now, in Genesis 1:14-19, we are told that it was on the 4th Day of Creation Week that Elohim made the sun, moon and stars, and gave them their purpose. They were to tell us the time of day, month, and year, as well as allow us to know when Elohim’s Appointed meeting times were.
These meeting times would be His weekly Sabbath Days, the New Moon Days, and His 7 annual Feasts/Festivals. These special times are mentioned over and over all throughout the Bible!
Then, in Genesis 2:1-3, we learn that on the 7th Day of Creation Week, Elohim declared a divine rest day. This would later be called the Sabbath Day.
So, there are 3 important things to note from these 2 passages:
- From Genesis 1, we note is that the luminaries began their motion on the 4th Day of Creation Week.
- And from Genesis 2, we note that the first Sabbath Day would have occurred 3 days after the luminaries began their cycle.
- The Week of 7 days is always constant, and everything else revolves around it, and not the other way around.
Putting these 3 important notes together, we now have the backbone of the Sacred Astro-Luni-Solar Calendar of Elohim! Below is a tabulation of the Sacred Calendar’s base structure:

So, if the luminaries began their cycle on the 4th Day of Creation week, then it means that every month is to begin on the 4th Day of the Week!
Additionally, the first True Sabbath Day of every month will always occur 3 days after the 1st day of the Month.
After grasping these basic concepts of the Sacred Calendar, and as you continue to learn more about it, you will see how it all fits together perfectly, with the moon phases fitting just right into the 7-day week!
It is important to note that just like Elohim, this structure NEVER CHANGES (Malachi 3:6)! This is how Elohim set out His Sacred Calendar at Creation, and this is how it has always run from then until now and will continue to run until He brings it all to a close.
Now, to use “line upon line” in order to show you the validity of what has been outlined, let us go to a well-known story in the First Book of Samuel.
In 1 Samuel 20 and 21, we read about David’s dilemma over Saul’s increasing attempts to kill him. David secretly meets with Saul’s son Jonathan, who is his dear friend at the time, and they make a plan to find out if Saul really has intentions of harming David.
Now, interestingly, throughout their conversation, they keep making references to the New Moon, which would be the next day (1 Samuel 20:5, 18). This tells us that they clearly had knowledge of the Sacred Calendar system, and they knew that a new month was to begin on the following day!
Not only that, but we also learn that there was to be a Festival occurring on the New Moon Day, and it was actually to be 2 days of festivities (1 Samuel 20:5-6, 24-27).
We know that it was a festive time because as mentioned before, New Moon Days are also one of Elohim’s Appointed Times.
Also, based on the fact that verse 25 makes a point of telling us some details about the dignitaries who were present at the king’s table and that the king openly asked about his son-in-law’s absence in verse 27, we can be certain that this was not just a regular evening meal!
So, the plan that David and Jonathan had made was to span 3 days, including Day 1 of the new month. Therefore, by using our calendar back-bone above, we can track the days of this story as follows:
- Day 1 was the 4th Day of the Week (New Moon Day 1). David was hiding in the field.
- Day 2 was the 5th Day of the Week (New Moon Day 2). David was still hiding in the field.
- Day 3 was the 6th Day of the Week (Preparation Day for the Sabbath). Jonathan went to the field with his servant and then met with David to send him away.
Now, let us go over into 1 Samuel 21:1-6.
Here, we learn that David and his men came to the Temple at Nob. He met Ahimelech, who was the High Priest at the time, and it just so happened that Ahimelech was in the process of changing the 12 loaves of bread that were on the Table of Shewbread.
David asks Ahimelech for something to eat, and Ahimelech told him that only the bread that was just changed was available, and it was actually for the priests and levites to eat. However, he told David that he could make an exception only if David and his company had not had any sexual relations recently.
David assured him that it had been approximately 3 days since he and his men had had any fleshly pleasures, including food. Ahimelech then concedes and gives David the shewbread that he had just changed.
Now, based on the events outlined in this conversation, we can be certain that all this was taking place on the 7th Day of the week, which was the 1st Sabbath Day of the month!
There are 2 places in scripture that confirm that this was indeed the Sabbath Day:
- Leviticus 24:5-8
- Matthew 12:3-5
So, in putting these scriptures together, we can see how simple it is to find the True Sabbath Day, as established by Elohim from Creation! He set His very own Timepiece in the Heavens where everyone can read it, but no one can change it!

Because the Sacred Calendar is an Astro-Luni-Solar Calendar, and the Gregorian calendar is a purely solar calendar, the True Sabbath Day will actually FLOAT through the days of the week on the Gregorian calendar.
This means that from one month to the next, the True Sabbath Day can occur on any day of the week on the Gregorian calendar! So, the True Sabbath can sometimes be on a Sunday, or a Saturday, or even a Wednesday for that matter!
Therefore, when it comes to the ongoing debate about which day is the right day to worship, remember Romans 3:23:
“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of YHWH;”
Yes, we have all been deceived by Satan over hundreds of years!
However, these are the Last Days, and it is time to start being serious about worshipping Elohim in spirit and in truth. This means seeking Him whole-heartedly, being willing to let go of what you have been taught over the years, and taking a stand for the truth that Holy Spirit has led you to.
Elohim’s True Sabbath Day is not complicated and is truly simple when you are seeking His truths for all the right reasons. If you look at it with the innocent heart of a child, you will come to see the clear truth of the matter (Matthew 18:3)!
Conclusion
From all the information that has been presented, we can clearly conclude 2 things:
- Saturday on the Gregorian calendar is NOT the True Sabbath Day, and neither is Sunday.
- The True Sabbath Day has been clearly outlined in the Bible for centuries, for everyone to see!
The True Astro-Luni-Solar Calendar of YaHuWaH Elohim has been there in the heavens since Creation. It has not been changed by Him, and certainly no man, nor fallen angel, has the power to make any changes to it!
People have tried to construct the Sacred Calendar for years, but I find that they have all gone searching in apocryphal and pseudepigraphical writings such as the Book of Enoch, The Dead Sea Scrolls, and others, in order to find their answers.
While these writings have great historical merit, it is my belief that we should always rely on the leading and guidance of Holy Spirit to bring us into all truth (John 16:13). The writings that we know for certain that have been inspired by Holy Spirit over thousands of years is the BIBLE.
Therefore, what better place to search for Elohim’s True Sabbath Day than in the Book that He Himself inspired?
There are more details outlined in the Bible that show us how the complete calendar is to be constructed. If you are interested in learning more about this subject, you are welcome to read our article about the 100% Bible-based Sacred Calendar of YHWH Elohim.
Additionally, you are also welcome to download a free PDF Copy of the Biblical Sacred Calendar for the Gregorian year 2023-2024, and I pray that it will be a blessing to you.
May Elohim bless and keep you, as you continue to search the scriptures for His truths. Shalom!
